General Description
The EM78P5840N/41N/42N series are 8-bit RISC architecture microcontroller devices designed and developed with low-power, high-speed CMOS technology. Each of these devices has on-chip 4K x 13-bit Electrical One Time Programmable Read Only Memory OTP-ROM). It provides a protection bit to prevent intrusion of user's OTP memory code as well as from unwanted external accesses. A number of one-time programmable option bits are also available to meet user's application requirements.
Functional flexibility of these integrated ICs is enhanced with their internal special features such as watchdog timer (WDT), program OTP-ROM, RAM, programmable real-time clock/counter, internal interrupt, power down mode, dual PWM (Pulse Width Modulation), 8-channel 10-bit A/D converter, and tri-state I/O.
